Understanding the jargon
The jargon surrounding web sites can be confusing - domains, hosting etc. etc. but to give a simplistic analogy, you can relate the domain name, web site design and web hosting to your house :-
- The 'Domain Name' is your house address
- The Web Site design is your house contents and decoration
- Web Hosting is the actual physical house (changing web hosting is like moving house, except that you can keep your existing address ( domain name ) and point it at the new house )
